'93' was written in the upper left hand corner of p. 1 in another hand. The legal documents kept by Rose on each case were given the same number.

Written in left margin. To right of this is printed, at right angles, 'QBD 1875'. The case, that of Whistler v. Johnson, concerns JW's non-payment of his coal bill (see #12188).
