Mary Hermione Dawkins (b. ca 1830), formerly Sartoris, later Mrs Callander [more]. From c. March 1890-July 1892, the Whistlers lived next door to the Dawkins in Cheyne Walk, at No. 21. The letter signature is very faint.

3.  Beatrix Whistler
Beatrix Whistler (1857-1896), née Beatrice Philip, artist [more].

Probably a reference to the recent engagement of Beatrix and JW. The wedding took place on 11 August. See also Mrs Dawkins's letter to JW, #00810.
