2.  Ernest George Brown
Ernest George Brown (1853 or 1854-1915), assistant manager at the Fine Art Society [more]. He had written to JW several times, urging him to print the final impressions of Mr Whistler's Etchings of Venice, 1880 (the first 'Venice Set') (K. 183-189, 191-195). (excat 5). His most recent letter had been on 19 June 1893, #01266.

The letter was written on a postcard. 'Whistler' was written in another hand on the address section.

In #01266 Brown had noted that JW had not asked the F. A. S. for any more paper with which to continue printing.
