My dear Lavery -

I am sorry to know that you also are laid up with this awful fog in the throat!

Mind you run no risks - Don't dream of going out -

I was not allowed at the Studio today - and indeed am not to be permitted to leave this Inn this week - and the Doctor wants me [p. 2] to go to Cornwall -

And now I cannot find a long letter that Tuke[2] most kindly wrote to me - and that I lost immediately & before I had time to read it!! -

Do write him a line and tell him how distressed I am - Of course the letter is not really lost - only too carefully set aside for proper perusal!

I do wish I knew what he was telling me!

Write -

J McN W -

Tallant's Hotel.
20. North Audley St.

Oct. 7.
1901.

I sent[3] your letter to Jean Jacques Rousseau[4]
