Dear Sir -
Pray present my compliments to the President & Gentlemen of the Committee
May I beg request that you will convey to them my high sense of the honour conferred upon me by my election as honorary Member of their distinguished of the Royal Scott[ish] Water Colour Society emminent body - I am much touched & flattered by their courtesy & flattering thought of me, & I trust the beg them to believe assured of that no official recognition has given me greater pleasure than this expression of regard from my distinguished confreres -
