Dear Sir -

Mr Whistler says that he has selected and numbered marked for you a complete set of the Venice second Series at Messrs Dowdeswell[4]. If you have not received them you probably will almost immediately, when you can hand them to Mr Arthur[5]. They are marked with your name, but of course meant for your client. If however you have received them and are now sending them back I Mr Whistler will put Mr Arthur's name on them, as you wish. As Mr Arthur is collecting I Mr Whistler can send up for him some proofs of the newest and freshest works. Kindly let me him know at once as I he refused to sell any more plates and consequently proofs prints proofs only himself.
