CHELSEA.
Dear Sir -
I send herewith the three small pictures - and I wish to add a word to what I said yesterday -
Kindly say to write to the house in Paris[3] - and say that I should not like these pictures to be openly exhibited at present, but that they are to be shown by themselves, as you would show them, to special clients in a very choice and careful way -
Very truly Yours
J McN. Whistler
Will you[4] be good enough to send me the address of the picture liner Mr. Richards[5] or Richardson? -

David Croal Thomson (1855-1930), art dealer [more].
3. house in Paris
Boussod, Valadon & Cie (Goupil's), art dealers.

This list (and the heading 'c/metres'), which is similar to #08197, is written very roughly in another hand. It possibly refers to Rose et Opale (M.1231), Blue and Violet. Lapis Lazuli (M.1070), Note in Red: The Siesta (YMSM 254) and Green and Gold: The Sloop (YMSM 368).
