'Sept 1891' was added in another hand. This note probably comes shortly after Thomson's letter of 23 September 1891, #05678, and is closely related to an undated letter, #08199.

2.  David Croal Thomson
David Croal Thomson (1855-1930), art dealer [more]. Although not addressed to him, the note came with his letters to the Library of Congress, and the list corresponds to pictures listed in #08199.
