My dear Alan -
You will [be] delighted to know my friend Monsieur Oulevay[3], a most distinguished artist - who is much interested in the fabrication of tapestries -
You will I am sure not only offer him all possible facility for knowing and frequenting [p. 2] your own wonderful Collections, but you might help him in finding and entering into relations with the establishment of tapistry [sic] in London -
The potteries also, and in short the decorative arts of the place -
No one could make his sojourn in England more useful to him than yourself my dear Alan - and I am [sure] you will be charmed to do so -
Always sincerely Yrs
J McNeill Whistler
