Dear Mr Whistler,

On my way home this evening I have seen the 'Star' & send it to you herewith calling attention to page 3. There you will find a statement of the work of certain 'H. & W. Greaves[3]' of whom I have never before heard.

[p. 2] If you want it contradicted formally by B. V. & Co[4] on your behalf or any thing said you do not choose to say yourself I can arrange to do it from our firm - or by myself.

It is not worth too much personal notice - a formal flat contradiction would be most effectual
