Dear Sir,
Mr Abbey[2] has left London & we are sending your letter to him to Mount Morgan, Fairford, Gloucestershire.
We counselled Mr Abbey very strongly to call & speak to Mr Alexander[3], but we are not sure if he did this.
The 'Nocturne[4]' was sent on the 18th by [Chatham & Dover?] & Gare du Nord, to 110 [p. 2] Rue du Bac & it ought to be there by this time. Perhaps being a private address it takes longer.
We are making a special show of the Studio[5] & have written to all the papers about it. We have one buyer for the picture nibbling at it, but we are not very sure of him.
We have received your telegram[6] & have told the Pall Mall[7] who will photograph it tomorrow
The circulars for the Portfolio[8] [p. 3] go out tomorrow & we are now printing it.
The Art Journal for March will have an article on the Portfolio by D. S. McColl[9] with some illustrations for which you will remember you gave your consent & we have also asked the consents of the proprietors. This ought to help the sale very much
