Cher Monsieur
Ph. Zilcken

Translation:
Dear Sir
Not having received a reply to my letter asking you if you would be so kind as to exhibit some etchings at our Exhibition this year, perhaps your views of Amsterdam, I take the liberty of writing to you again in the hope that you would be willing to give us this pleasure. You know [p. 2] how much your talent is highly appreciated amongst us.
A note in reply would give us much pleasure.
Yours faithfully
Ph. Zilcken
