[two sketches[2] of heads]

Monsieur

Ph. Zilcken

Translation:

Dear Sir.

Mr. van Wisselingh having suggested the possibility that you might exhibit a few of your works in Black and White at our Exhibition

I beg you, in that case to send them here, Panorama-Mesdag, before the 7th September, or through the agency of Mr. v. Wisselingh, with the titles and prices.

Your precious talent being very highly [p. 2] appreciated by the artists here, I would express the desire we have, to welcome some of your works. The Exhibition will last until mid-October. Even more because you have deigned to send masterpieces to Amsterdam.

Hoping, Sir, that you will not deprive us of your support, that you are giving to Les XX, I am, with great respect,
Yours faithfully

Ph. Zilcken
