May I without indiscretion ask for my plans? - I trust that you are as pleased with them as I am myself - and that Godwin's charming drawings^[4] have passed the Board and already received your signature as guarantee of their elegance -

If you have finished with them may they be given to my servant as I would much like to [p. 2] show them to friends tomorrow at breakfast -

I would remind you of your promise to come and see me in Chelsea - Perhaps if you are not engaged and would forgive this short notice I might persuade you too to do me the pleasure of breakfasting with me on Sunday at 11. o'clock -

Edward William Godwin (1833-1886), architect and designer [more]. He designed the White House for JW in Tite Street. The facade had to be redrawn to in corporate additional decorative elements before the Metropolitan Board of Works would give JW the lease and planning permission.
