Dear Sir -
I send by bearer eight proofs, framed, for the "Fine Arts Society" - and you shall have the ninth (an upright, The Balcony, Amsterdam[3]) tomorrow morning if you will send to new address 21. Cheyne Walk Chelsea.
The "Nocturne[4]" requires to be mounted properly at once, as it is only slipped into the frame at present -
It is quite understood [p. 2] that you will not arrange the group in a manner that make them a sort of appendix to your other Private View[5]!
I trust you will keep them quite apart.
Yours faithfully
J McN. Whistler
