Dear Mr Whistler

My father[2] wishes me to write and ask whether you cannot now let him have another cheque on account of the balance of your Mothers portrait[3] - he has not troubled you lately about it, but thinks it is now time you sent him something [p. 2] say 50£. Business has been improving lately and I hope that you have felt a corresponding change for the better

I remain
Yours faithfully

A. Graves
