1.  Lathrop
Bryan Lathrop (1844-1916), real estate investor, collector and Trustee of the Art Institute of Chicago [more].

2.  ADS
This note is filed with an impression of Thames Warehouses (K.38) (II). It accompanies a fine set of A Series of Sixteen Etchings of Scenes on the Thames, 1871 (the 'Thames Set') (K.38-44, 46, 52, 66, 68, 71, 74-76, 95).

3.  proofs
It is clear that this set of A Series of Sixteen Etchings of Scenes on the Thames, from the 1871 edition, was signed by JW at the time this note was written, both probably done at the request of a dealer or collector. It is not known if Lathrop had any direct dealings with JW, but he amassed an extraordinarily important collection of early and important impressions of many etchings, including a large concentration of late works.
