Notes:
1. Edmund Gosselin
Edmund Gosselin (1849-1917), reproductive etcher and Paris print dealer [more].
2. 106
Printed in top right corner of page in ledger.
3. Marchande de Moutarde
These were early etchings: La Marchande de Moutarde (K.22a), Black Lion Wharf (K.42), Old Westminster Bridge (K.39), probably Fumette (K.13) (although Fumette, Standing (K.56) and Fumette's Bent Head (K.57) also show 'Fumette'); possibly Seymour, Standing (K.6) (or Seymour Standing under a tree (K.31)); Annie Haden (K.62); Eagle Wharf (K.41); and The Lime-burner (K.46).
4. Wedmore
Frederick Wedmore (1844-1921), art critic [more]. His book, Wedmore, Sir Frederick, Whistler's Etchings: a Study and a Catalogue, London, 1886, was criticised by JW, but was a useful spur to sales.
