June 19th 1893

Dear Mr Whistler,

I enclose a small cheque for one of your trial proofs. You will see we have "nibbled" our little account off it.

Is there a hope of getting the remainder of the Venice proofs. I am ready to come and fetch them at any time. You have not asked for any more paper so I suppose [p. 2] you are not printing just now. The heat here is awful just now; it seems as though it would never rain again. I hope it is better in Paris.

Yours faithfully

Ernest G. Brown.
