Oct 21st 1892

Dear Mr Whistler,

The Venice set[2] are framed, in white frames with the lines, ready to be exhibited as soon as we have a few more proofs of "The Doorway" and "The Beggars". The ones we propose to raise the prices of are: -

"The Beggars[3]" to 15. 15. 0
"The Doorway" " 15. 15. 0
"The Little Lagoon" " 6. 6. 0
"The Two Doorways" " 8. 8. 0

Of "The Trag[h]etto" we have still 52 [p. 2] proofs so I thought we would let that remain at eight guineas[.] I should like to know if you approve of these prices.

The plate of "The Palaces" I should like to have as soon as you can send it.

If the exhibition is successful we should raise some of the others a little later on.

Hoping to hear from you about the other proofs.

I am
Yours very truly

Ernest G. Brown.

James McN. Whistler Esq
