Dear Huish -

I have received your cheque for the pound - and thank you -

The Secretary[3] did not say that any thing was to follow his enclosure - au contraire! -

I have from you a note[4] thanking me for the prompt attention I had given your request that I would print the proofs[5] - on that occasion I promised that directly I could get my exhibition[6] off my hands I would do this for you - So you can scarcely say that I have kept you waiting as though you had been in any uncertainty - for surely you make no point of my being hardly ready to print directly the Society happens to buy a plate! -

However[7] - merçi - I knew you would have it all put right -
