I am off to Paris and send you in great haste one or two last instructions -

You will readily understand I am sure - for I have been delighted with the way you have felt and carried out the slightest suggestion - and I wish again to thank you and the men for all the care they have taken in the [p. 2] matter for me -

A Valentine with a Verdict, Paris and New York, 1899 [GM, A.24], as published in May 1899, which contains various marks, annotations and corrections in JW's hand (GUL Whistler 292).
