5. The Mill Amsterdam
Most of the purchases are from 'Holland set', 1889 (K.402-416) (excat 10). The list includes; The Mill (K.413), Zaandam (K.416), Pierrot (K.407), Mairie, Loches (K.382), Long House - Dyer's - Amsterdam (K.406), Square House, Amsterdam (K.404), Bridge, Amsterdam (K.409)and Steps, Amsterdam (K.403).
6. Lithographs "Whirlwind"
The Winged Hat (C.34) was the first of three lithographs to be published in The Whirlwind: A Lively and Eccentric Newspaper, 25 October 1890, under the title "Mr Whistler's 'Songs on Stone'." It was followed by The Tyresmith (C.36) and Maunder's Fish Shop, Chelsea (C.37) in November and December.
