4. One proof
Most of the items in this column (on both pages) have either a line or cross drawn through them, by JW, in red ink. Other aspects of the list are in red ink, including the words 'payed Aug 9' in the far right column, and the entry on p. 2 for 'July 16 - ... £26. 5 - 0'.
