Dated from the form of words used, which is similar to #12669, and references to Harmony in Blue and Gold: The Peacock Room (YMSM 178). It must predate JW's bankruptcy in May 1879.

This incomplete transcription was published in Maggs Catalogue 608, London, 1935 (cat. no. 518). It was described as an autograph letter signed with a butterfly, 2 pp., oblong 8vo., and was for sale at 15 shillings. The original has not been located.
