I, Hargrave Morrison of Number 78 Cheyne Walk Chelsea in the County of Middlesex Oil and Color Merchant the above named Plaintiff make Oath and say as follows
1. That on the 13th day of March 1879 I caused to be issued out of the Common Pleas Division of this Honorable Court a Writ of Summons against the above named Defendant a true copy whereof is hereunto annexed marked ["etc"?] and an appearance was entered for the Defendant on the 24th day of March instant
2. That this Action is brought to recover the sum of £121. 8. 10 for Goods sold and delivered by me to the said Defendant between the 1st day of January 1877 and the 31st day of December 1878 both inclusive the full particulars whereof have been delivered to the Defendant and to recover the sum of £8 for money lent by me to the said Defendant on the 14th day of December 1877 the said sums making together the sum of £129. 8. 10.
3. That the said sum of £129. 8. 10 is still due and owing from the said Defendent to me [p. 3] and I verily believe the said Defendant has no defence to this Action and that the appearance entered for him herein is entered solely for the purpose of delay
