1. [November 1878/1879?]
This may relates to JW's bankruptcy papers. His libel case in November 1878 against John Ruskin (1819-1900), critic, social reformer and artist [more], precipitated a crisis in his already overstretched finances. A petition was filed for his bankruptcy on 9 May 1879 (see #08895).
3. Brazio Buggiani
Brazio Buggiani (b. ca 1818), picture restorer [more]. According to a letter from JW to Mrs Rawlinson in November 1878, Buggiani was employed to varnish Nocturne: Blue and Silver - Battersea Reach (YMSM 119) (#08112).
The corner of the sheet is torn off.
