'Whistler to E. G. Kennedy'
'22nd July 1894'

110. Rue du Bac. Paris

Monday July

My dear Mr O K! -

That's all right again! -
And you need not have further anxiety -

We are all afloat again! - and can quite easily wait now until in due course work on hand is finished etc etc -

The third sea piece has sold - You remember the little one, "Among the Rollers[3]", on panel, that hung in the Champs de Mars as pendant to Lady Eden's[4] tiny portrait - It is bought for £210 - So now [p. 2] the two larger marines[5] can hold on - at their proper price of four hundred gs. a piece -

Meanwhile a thousand thanks all the same for any effort you have been making to "save the Show"! - and your good health drunk by all of us. -

Now new and beautiful lithographs sent herewith -

Write at once and say how delighted you are with them -

You will find a small number on proof corresponding to number on list for name -

Marvellous skies here just now - ought to be at seaside! -

Will send the final denouement of the DuMaurier[6] business! Have wiped up the Heath with him!!. -

I should at this moment like to be drinking the Mint Julep you would be handing to me if I looked in upon you this afternoon! -

Goodbye O K! - with many nice messages from all of us[7]
Always sincerely
