Charles Lang Freer (1856-1919), industrialist, collector and founder of the Freer Gallery of Art [more]. The first page is written in Freer's hand and signed by JW with his butterfly signature. The second page is written by Rosalind Birnie Philip (1873-1958), JW's sister-in-law [more], with a note 'see a/c in my handwriting' written by Freer in the left-hand margin.
