I hear nothing from you -
The little question about the water colour[3] at the Glasgow Exhibition, I should much like you to answer - as I am quite intrigued about such drawing at all! -
Now however [p. 2] it is fully time to expedite the "Princesse[4]" to Venice - I [may?] not again tell you how pleased I am [at?] your standing by me on this occasion - The Venice Exhibition I have already said to you I look upon as probably the most dignified and the most appreciative on the continent -
I have letters from the Mayor[5] & Council all most grateful for the loan of your picture -
If they had known your address, they would have written to you personally to thank you - and doubtless will do so in due course -
