1.  Walter Dowdeswell
Walter Dowdeswell (1858-1929), art dealer [more].

2.  Thibaudeau
Alphonse Wyatt Thibeaudau (ca 1840 - d.1892), print dealer [more], was asked to make a few impressions from the plates but JW later took over the printing of the edition himself (MacDonald, Margaret F., Palaces in the Night Whistler in Venice, Aldershot, 2001, p. 120-121).

3.  Doorway
A list of etchings from A Set of twenty-six etchings of Venice, 1886 (the second 'Venice set') (K.196-216, 233-237). (excat 6) in Dowdeswell's hand: Little Court (K.236); Wheelwright (K.233); The Bridge (K.204); Ponte del Piovan (K.209); Long Lagoon (K.203); La Salute: Dawn (K.215); Garden (K.210); Quiet Canal (K.214); Turkeys (K.199); Lobster Pots (K.235); Lagoon: Noon (K.216).

4.  The Church
This is a list of etchings in JW's hand dating from a year later: Church, Brussels (K.356) or possibly Church Doorway, Edgemere (K.303); perhaps Troop Ships (K.319); Salvation Army, Sandwich (K.305); High Street, Brussels (K.358); Courtyard, Brussels (K.355); The Cock and the Pump (K.304); Palaces, Brussels (K.361); Railway-Arch (K.268); St.James's Place, Houndsditch (K.290); probably Sketch of Battersea Bridge (K.311); The Barrow, Brussels (K.357); Fleur De Lys Passage (K.289); Grand Place, Brussels (K.362); Cutler Street, Hounsditch (K.292); Market-Place, Bruges (K.351). The etching K.319 was presented in a bound volume, the Jubilee Year Memorial , to Queen Victoria in August 1887. Other views of Brussels and Bruges such as K.358 and K.351 were done during a trip to Holland and Belgium in the autumn.
