Notes:

1.  Messrs. Dowdeswell
Dowdeswell and Dowdeswell, print dealers and publishers. JW kept a copy of this list (#13024). The list was written on a sheet of paper, with dotted lines rather than ruled lines.

2.  Dray Horse
The etchings listed are Dray-Horse, Paris (K.247), Wych Street (K.159), The Muff (K.113), Booth at a fair (K.249), A Corner of the Palais Royale (K.248), A Fragment of Piccadilly (K.256), A Sketch at Dieppe (K.246), Doorway, Gray's Inn (K.300), Sketch in St.James's Park (K.255), The Seamstress (K.252), Cottage Door (K.250), Alderney Street (K.238), Regent's Quadrant (K.239), Little Salute (K.220), Amsterdam from the Tolhuis (K.91), T.A.Nash's Fruit-Shop (K.263), Village Sweet-shop (K.251), Nocturne: Shipping (K.223), Nocturne: Salute (K.226), Steamboat Fleet (K.156), Price's Candle Works (K.154), Furniture-Shop (K.266), The Fish-Shop, Busy Chelsea (K.264) or Little Maunder's (K.279), The Smithy (K.240), Windsor, No.2 (K.330) and Chelsea (Memorial) (K.331). The list was not arranged chronologically. The earliest etching, Amsterdam from the Tolhuis (K.91), dated from 1863, but could have been represented by later impression. The most recent Windsor, No.2 (K.330) and Chelsea (Memorial) (K.331), were drawn within the previous month, in June 1887. The columns, from left, indicate the number in Wedmore, Sir Frederick, Mr. Frederick Wedmore's Notes on Velasquez and Titian in the Etchings of R. W. Macbeth, London, 1888; the title; price; number of impressions (either wanted, available or sold); ticks perhaps indicating non-availability, since these etchings were deleted in JW's own copy of the list (#13024); the price in guineas; and ticks which probably indicate sales to or by Dowdeswell.
