Dear Mr Dowdeswell,

I want much to get off by Saturday or Sunday - and would like to settle matters at the Bank -

Do therefore kindly let me have the cheque for our latest little transaction: £40- 6- 5-[2] tomorrow afternoon, or by Saturday morning early - It was quite understood with Walter[3] that I should have the cheque directly [p. 2] the etchings were sent in, as I told him that I wanted to leave town -

With kind regards
Sincerely

J McN. Whistler
