'March 1897'

Dear Mr. Thomson -

I hope you have arranged to send over the two little pictures[4] today - It would of course save me lots of trouble - Only they would have to be addressed to your house in Paris - so that they might go immediately to them - and then tomorrow or Saturday they would be [p. 2] instructed to take them on to the Rue du Bac - No. 110[5] as you know - Of all this they would have to be carefully advised by you today -

Kindly send me word (a line) by bearer that all this is right - and that I need have no anxiety further -

Nothing at all must be said about the Champ de Mars - for I want nothing to go there until I take them myself -

Very sincerely

J McNeill Whistler
