THE GOUPIL GALLERY
BOUSSOD, VALADON & CO.
116 & 117, NEW BOND STREET, W.
TELEGRAMS, - BOUSSOD, LONDON.
London
29 March 1892.
Dear Sir,
There is very little to be said to-day. Visitors are about 200 & many artists in the morning. Three young 'Art' maidens who had been in the larger gallery came into the other & as they entered they exclaimed "Oh here are some more Oh How[2] delightful!" & every one in [p. 2] the vicinity who heard the exclamation smiled at their enthusiasm.
We have taken to having the Students to write their names in a little book for you & you will have it in due time.
I saw Mr Huish[3] of the Fine Art Society yesterday & he was quite short to me - He seems to think we ought not to have had your pictures.
Will you write to the Corporation of Glasgow about cleaning Carlyle[4]? The Secy. is J. Paton[5] E[s]q. Corporation Art Galleries Glasgow
Yours very truly
