Dated by Barbier (see below).

2.  Henri Roujon
Henri Roujon (1853-1914), alias 'Henry Laujol', writer and administrator [more]. It is not absolutely certain that this was addressed to Roujon, since the official news of JW's promotion in the Order was sent to JW by Alexandre Joseph Félix Ribot (1842-1922), French prime minister [more], on 3 February 1892, #11036.

On the verso is another draft, #13316. Published by Barbier, Carl P., ed., Correspondance Mallarmé-Whistler: Histoire de la grande amitié de leurs dernières années, Paris, 1964 [GM, A.28], p. 148, note 4, omitting JW's textual deletions.

4.  Mallarmé
Stéphane Mallarmé (1842-1898), Symbolist writer and poet [more].
