Gentlemen -

I have seen the letter written by Mr. Whistler[4] to you - it's [sic] contents are quite true, & I think that Mr. Stott of Oldham[5] must either apologize to Mr. Whistler (he has done so to myself) or he must retire from the Club -

(I may mention that I advised him to do so at the time - make an apology)
