Dear Sir -

You will receive visits from several gentlemen during the next few days, who will call to see the picture of Lady Meux[3] -

I trust that you will leave word, if absent yourself, that the young men shall always move the picture out and show it exactly as you do yourself by the window - slightly bent forward - and with the same care -

You will keep the picture until [p. 2] you hear further from me - for probably her Ladyship[4] may herself call on her return to town -

I am going to try and get you the portrait of Miss Alexander[5] to clean and varnish -
