My dear Mr. Whistler -
Just a line to thank you for your very kind note and to tell you that everything is going as you desire.
Mr. Webb[2] has been appointed,
The Fêté was a success - though we shall not make anything to speak of from [p. 2] the proceeds.
We shall be able to settle up without a call being made on the guarantors.
Guthrie[3] has gone into the finance of last year and this year the report of which he will send you with the minutes
There will be another meeting [p. 3] on Tuesday to put everything in order for Webb's arrival
All this you will receive fully explained
Please excuse haste
Sincerely Yours
