Notes:

1.  E. Aubrey Hunt
Edmund Aubrey Hunt (1855-1922), landscape and rural painter [more]. His writing is hard to read.

2.  William Christian Symons
William Christian Symons (1845-1911), painter and designer [more]. A dinner, to congratulate JW on being made an Honorary Member of the Royal Academy of Munich, was held at the Criterion in Piccadilly on 1 May 1889. It was organised by W. C. Symons. JW took an active part in promoting it and in deciding who should or should not be invited.

3.  W. H. Taylor Esq
W. H. Taylor, possibly an artist.

4.  Franklin G [Lefroy?]
Franklin George Lefroy (1861/1862-1936), solicitor, of Brooks and Lefroy [more].

5.  Geo E Corner
George E. Corner (b. ca 1853), artist and art teacher [more].

6.  H Woodroffe Esq
H. Woodroffe, Founding Secretary of Blackheath Art Club [more].

7.  C. D. Abel Esq
Charles Denton Abel (1831-1906), writer [more].

8.  W. E. Norton Esq
William Edward Norton (1843-1916), painter [more].

9.  British Artists
Hunt was one of JW's supporters and resigned with him from the Royal Society of British Artists in 1888. The SBA was presumably requesting membership fees or similar dues.
