Dear Mr Whistler,

Willie[3] is going to see Mempes[4] in the morning on Sunday, & we thought it might be rather fun to "wipe him up" in the evening.

Do you please come & dine with us, about [p. 2] eight. -

I don't know yet whether we are dining at home or in some haunt of vice.

If you will let me know whether we shall have the bonne fortune of seeing you, I will tell you as soon as we have [p. 3] decided, where to meet us. -
