Sunday am:

My dear Master

Arthur Melville[3] wants to paint George Meredith[4].

Could you facilitate matters any by a letter of introduction? We called on you the other night in reference to the subject.

I hand you with this Quilter's[5] catalogue [p. 2] re the White House[6] sale. As usual, he invites crucifixion.

Always Sincerely,

S. Ford.

The clipping is from last night's Pall Mall.[7]
