Dear Mr Whistler,

I sent you a telegram yesterday with the reply paid but this morning the people of the office have sent round to say that they had forgotten to mark it "reply paid" and I find that it does not read as though a reply was wanted so I suppose you expected me. However it is too late now as I am off to America tomorrow[.] I should like to have seen you before I went.

Will you kindly print for us some more of the Venice etchings[;] you will find the numbers we want on the other side - They [p. 2] just make up 4 doz which will be £20[.] Please oblige us.

Good bye
Yours sincerely

Ernest G. Brown
