Dear Sir -

It was most charming and kind of you to write the manly to the St James Gazette[3] as you did! with such [prom?]

Your letter[4] was perfect - carrying conviction on the face with the its simple statement so - clearly and unhesitatingly made - It was courageous of you to come forward so frankly in the face of this determination conspiracy of the press - to stifle the truth and shield their coleague[5] [sic] -
