My Dear Mr Whistler

I have received your a/c with the proofs[2] - & extra Copies - these latter - to make them of use to us - had better be initialled in some form don't you think so?

I cannot send you a Bill tonight (Stamp Office closed) - but will have one ready on Monday morning by 11 or 12 o'clock if you will let yr Secretary[3] [p. 2] call - £100 on account certainly - & the balance when you return to Town

I shall have to wait myself still many months probably for any money - but I do not disappoint you - you see

Yrs very truly
