Dear Sir:-

At the meeting of the Trustees of the Public Library of the City of Boston held on Tuesday last the following vote was passed:

"Voted: that the Clerk be directed to inform James McNeil Whistler, Esq., that the Trustees do not desire to continue negotiations with him with reference to the decoration for the Central Library building"
