5. La Vision de St. Luc
Copy after Ziegler's 'La Vision de St Luc' (YMSM 15); this copy was commissioned by Captain Seth Williams (b. 1841?), of Stonington, CT, an early patron of JW [more]. It remained in Stonington until recently, when it was acquired for a private collection and subsequently donated to the Hunterian Art Gallery, University of Glasgow (GLAHA 53957).
6. Rue de Paradis
Bottin lists several small businesses at 8 rue de Paradis-Marais in 1857: A. Lapotaire, 'bij. en or'; Quyo, 'chaussures'; Richard, 'fab. de lunettes'; and Sedillon, 'ancien notaire, affaires diverses'. A few years later Hardy-Milori Couleurs had their office at Rue Paradis-Marais 6.
