'Nov 1885'
My dear Locker -
A most charming and kind invitation from Mrs Locker[3] and yourself only reached me years after it was sent! -
Fatalité! - I was so very sorry when I did get it -
How very nice of you to think of me - When you are in town you [p. 2] must let me know, that I may call and present my compliments and regrets to Mrs Locker -
A propos - I am no longer in Tite Street[4] - Tite Street has consequently ceased to exist -
Behold mythe address of my new studio: 454. Fulham Road -
Very sincerely
J. McN. Whistler
