BOULOGNE, S/ MER,

LE 1888
Aug. 27, 1888,

This is not the address -
but -

Mons. Whistler -
Hotel de la Plage -
Boulogne. sur Mer -

It appears that the cases of pictures from Paris [3]have been already - once carried up to Tower House and taken back because no one was there to receive them -

You must go to the people with a cheque which you must fill in - or they will be charging me for warehousing the thing - and you might say that the mishap was their own fault as they ought to [p. 2] have written first to say when you should expect the delivery; and not leave the matter to chance presence of servants - See if they will not in consequence take off the charge of warehouse - or reduce it, especially as I have been absent -

Write tomorrow without fail - and tell me if yesterday notwithstanding my telegram[4] you sent on letters to Paris -

Go and see George Lewis[5] and ask if he have news of Huish[6] -

What about the Fords[7]? Has George Lewis seen them - and what did he say to them? -

I will wire to Tite Street address of warehousing people - so that you can go to them -

The sum was somewhere about 4 pounds -

J McN Whistler
