Dear Sir -
I am anxious to hear all further news - and trust you are getting together quite a large group of things for the exhibition - Please write and let me know exactly what is promised and what is already sent - -
What about the portrait of Lady Meux? - Do you know if the Lady has been herself? -
You might write to Mr. J. J. Shannon the portrait Painter, and ask him to lend the sea piece of [p. 2] mine that he bought -
Has Mrs. Leyland sent her nocturne? - I want you to get all these things in as soon as you can, that they may be taken to Mr. Richards for him to look at - clean and varnish wherever necessary (keeping separate accounts of each transaction - not to be sent in until further advice from myself) - Then my Mr. Grau will call and take measures for new frames for most of them -
Any news from America? -
Send any news
Very truly Yours -
J McN. Whistler
